

And reracking that weight to something they can lift can be difficult for someone just starting out. You may think you’re helping-so the next person doesn’t have to load up from scratch-but not everyone can use that amount of weight for their sets. Unfortunately, it’s also just as common to see people leave a 45 on each side after removing the rest following their final set. These are the kinds of machines that are conducive to moving a lot of weight, so it’s common to see a whole boatload of 45-pound plates stacked on them. I’ve noticed this in every gym I’ve gone to: There are certain machines that established gym-goers tend to not strip completely when they’re done-I’m looking at you, leg press and chest-supported row. Strip your weights and readjust your machines. Why not do your part to create positive change? Here are some things to keep in mind at your crowded gym this month-when you don’t want to be that asshole turning off a whole new crop of people from all the good fitness has to offer. TGIF Friends! GYM RESOLUTIONERS ARE THE WORST FULL
We don’t like it that our gym is full the max and feels like a cluster. I guess the moral of my post is, we are all in the same boat here. Or switch it up by adding a little weight training. Go into the gym with a positive attitude that you are going to get a good workout no matter what.ĥ. Seriously consider showing up 20-30 minutes early to secure your spin bike, or body pump supplies.Ĥ. But this time of the year you have to plan ahead to attend them. I love them! I love them because I don’t have to think about my workouts, I love them because it motivates me to workout for a full hour. So after my first and second visit to the gym this week I came up with a few tips to surviving the resolutioners. Now there is nothing wrong with a little fitness related New Year’s resolution but you also should not let the short-timers scare you away either–because you have goals too! It’s that time of year again, we all know it has come.
